      <title>How I Automated TikTok Shop Creator Outreach (and What I Learned Building AI-Powered Workflows for E-commerce)</title>

&lt;p&gt;I hit this wall hard running e-commerce brands, which eventually led me to build &lt;a href="https://www.hubfluence.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Hubfluence&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt; — an AI-assisted platform for TikTok Shop creator outreach.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I wanted to share a few of the prompt engineering and automation lessons I picked up along the way, because they apply far beyond influencer marketing.&lt;/p&gt;

  1. Good outreach is a prompt engineering problem
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When you're generating thousands of personalized DMs, the template is basically a prompt.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The highest-converting messages have three things:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;A specific reference to the creator's content&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;A concrete value proposition (commission rate, product category)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;A one-question CTA (&lt;em&gt;"Reply YES if you're interested"&lt;/em&gt;)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Treating each variable like a structured prompt input — &lt;code&gt;{niche}&lt;/code&gt;, &lt;code&gt;{recent_video_topic}&lt;/code&gt;, &lt;code&gt;{commission_rate}&lt;/code&gt; — made reply rates jump significantly.&lt;/p&gt;

  2. Filtering beats generating
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Most people want AI to &lt;em&gt;create more&lt;/em&gt;. The bigger unlock was using AI to &lt;strong&gt;filter out noise&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Instead of manually reviewing sample requests, we built logic that auto-approves creators based on:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;GMV&lt;/strong&gt; (minimum monthly sales)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Engagement rate&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Post frequency&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Volume stopped mattering — quality did.&lt;/p&gt;

  3. Follow-ups outperform cold messages 3x
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Every cold outreach channel I've tested — email, DMs, LinkedIn — shows the same pattern:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Follow-up messages get better reply rates than the initial touch.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Automated 3-step sequences consistently beat one-off blasts:&lt;/p&gt;

  4. Analytics is the unfair advantage
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Tracking &lt;em&gt;which individual video&lt;/em&gt; drove a sale (not just which creator) changes how you reinvest.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;bottom 50%&lt;/strong&gt; of creators are usually dead weight&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;top 10%&lt;/strong&gt; deserve exclusives and bigger deals&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Without video-level attribution, you're flying blind.&lt;/p&gt;
