I recently launched my second small AI product: coloring-ai.com. It generates printable black-and-white coloring pages using generative AI. No coding involved — just a few no-code tools, some prompt engineering, and a lot of trial and error.
I’m an indie dev trying to explore how far one can go without writing code, and this project was partly an experiment in speed + simplicity. It took me about 7 days from idea to launch.
Some things I learned:
Prompt engineering is (still) 80% of the game when you're using diffusion models
Users love customization, but too much freedom overwhelms them
Latency matters way more than I thought
Pricing AI APIs is tricky for sustainability
I'm happy to answer questions about the stack (used Cloudflare Workers + Together API via a proxy), product decisions, or how I handled image quality / response time.
Thanks for reading!
