Two weeks ago I was scrolling through r/OpenAI and came across a thread complaining about Sora's video watermarks. Dozens of comments saying the same thing: the watermark placement is fixed and annoying, it messes up editing workflows, and it looks unprofessional in client presentations.
I sat there thinking: that's a real pain point. And I can actually build something to fix it.
So I built goodbyewatermark.org.
What it does
Upload your Sora video. Let the AI process it. Download the clean version. Three steps.
I optimized specifically for Sora's watermark characteristics—not some generic watermark remover that blurs your footage or leaves obvious inpainting artifacts. The goal is making the watermark disappear like it was never there.
To be transparent: if your video has complex textures where the watermark sits, you might see minor imperfections. But for most cases, it's effectively seamless.
Why it's free right now
Just launched. Zero users. Zero feedback. I want people who actually need this to try it first and tell me what breaks. If server costs stay manageable, I'll keep it free. If things scale up, I'll add subscriptions—but early users will definitely get taken care of.
Want to test it?
If you've got watermarked Sora videos sitting around, or you know someone who's been complaining about this, throw one in: goodbyewatermark.org
Drop a comment or DM me with issues. I'm around.
