WhatsApp slowly became my main channel for client communication.
After a while, it was hard to remember:
- who each contact was
- what the last conversation was about
- what needed a follow-up
Scrolling chat history isn’t a great solution, especially when conversations span weeks.
AI Approach
Instead of moving everything into a full CRM, I wanted AI to help me keep context directly where the conversation happens.
The idea was simple:
- store short notes per contact
- summarize past conversations when needed
- keep everything inside WhatsApp Web
Workflow
- I leave short notes or labels on each contact.
- When I need context, I ask AI to summarize the conversation or extract key points.
- The notes + AI summary give me enough context to continue naturally.
I’m currently using a Chrome extension called
[WhatsApp CRM - WAPlus] as the base layer for this workflow.
Result
It’s not a full CRM setup, but it keeps conversations lightweight and contextual.
For solo builders or small teams, this approach feels much more natural than switching tools constantly.
