Biologic Formulation (Uplizd)

Uplizd is an enterprise-grade AI agent platform designed to accelerate and secure the process of high-concentration biologic formulation. Instead of relying on manual triage or generic AI systems, Uplizd introduces a specialized, single-tenant multi-agent platform that automates the complex journey from a primary protein sequence to a robust, regulatory-defensible formulation strategy.

At the core of the platform is a cooperative network of 27 specialized AI agents managed by a central orchestrator. These agents are divided into five core functional areas:

1. Molecule Intelligence: Performs sequence-level liability triage, developability profiling, structural ensemble averaging, and charge/patch mapping.
2. High-Concentration Specialists: Evaluates self-association, viscosity response, opalescence, injectability/device fit, and ultrafiltration/diafiltration (UF/DF) process risks.
3. Formulation Design: Synthesizes buffer/pH strategies, excipient systems, interfacial surfactant protections, and anti-radical controls while using a deterministic compounding calculator.
4. Evidence & Regulatory: Mines patent literature, product labels, and public regulatory precedents to justify choices.
5. Experiment & Evidence: Automates Design of Experiments (DoE) planning, forced degradation design, stability interpretation, and audit-ready documentation generation.

In high-concentration formulations, developers face a steep "viscosity wall"—where a small concentration increase leads to an exponential surge in viscosity, risking subcutaneous delivery failure. Catching these liabilities late leads to uncompressible delay, particularly due to the mandatory 12-month real-time stability regulatory floor. Uplizd helps identify and mitigate these risks early when candidate material is scarce, helping to optimize process development and protect R&D budgets.

Data security is a foundational architecture, not just a contractual promise. Uplizd operates under a Tier 4 "Private AI" deployment model: open-weight models are installed directly on hardware or cloud accounts controlled by the customer. Because the entire platform runs inside the customer's secure network perimeter, unfiled sequences and proprietary IP are never sent to third-party APIs, eliminating the risk of public disclosures that could invalidate patent novelty.

Uplizd offers a "Build & Own" model. The single-tenant platform is built and validated against the customer's reference data, then handed over in full—including complete source code, build scripts, deployment configs, and models.
