Midjourney Prompt Generator with Parameters
Write the scene, choose the settings, then copy a Midjourney prompt with parameters in the right order. Default settings stay out of the text, and the Discord prefix is optional.

Parameters belong after the scene description. The builder emits them in the order shown here, separated by single spaces. It omits the standard aspect ratio, stylize, chaos and weird values when you leave those settings at their defaults. Anything omitted falls back to the settings on your Midjourney account, so type a value explicitly if your account default differs.
| Parameter | Range or input | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
--ar | Width:height | 1:1 | Sets the image shape |
--s | 0 to 1000 | 100 | Controls how strongly Midjourney's aesthetic is applied |
--c | 0 to 100 | 0 | Controls how different the four results are |
--weird | 0 to 3000 | 0 | Adds an unusual treatment |
--raw | On or off | Off in this builder | Reduces automatic beautification for more literal results |
--tile | On or off | Off in this builder | Produces seamless repeating patterns |
--no | Comma-separated items | Omitted | Excludes unwanted things |
--seed | Optional whole number | Omitted | Sets the starting seed for comparisons |
--v | Optional version value | Your account default | Selects a model version |
The longer names --stylize and --chaos mean the same settings as --s and --c. The builder uses the shorter forms. Keep version blank to use your account default, and set it only when you want to reproduce an older look.
Write the subject before the settings
Start with concrete nouns: an unglazed ceramic teapot on a linen tablecloth gives you a subject, material and setting. Follow that with one medium, then the light and framing. The parameters cannot decide which teapot, room or camera position you meant.
Choose details that you can assess in the result. Soft window light and a close-up composition are easier to judge than a stack of praise words. If you need more space to organize a scene, the image prompt generator separates subject, action, setting, lighting and color into individual fields.
Keep unwanted items in Exclude rather than weaving them through the positive description. Enter text, watermark as separate terms when you want to try removing them. For a longer walkthrough of the text portion, read how to prompt Midjourney in five steps.
How to use the Midjourney prompt builder
- Replace the example subject and details, then pick one style or choose None to leave the medium open.
- Select a shape that fits the composition. Aspect ratio specifies shape rather than an exact pixel size; the image resolution calculator explores pixel dimensions for SDXL and Flux workflows.
- Start with the default numeric settings. Enable Raw mode for a more literal treatment or Tile when the intended result is a repeating pattern.
- Add exclusions or an optional seed. Leave Version blank unless you are deliberately returning to an older look.
- Enable the Discord prefix if needed, then copy the prompt into Midjourney. Review the parameters at the end before generating.
Numeric settings outside their ranges are limited to the nearest boundary in the output. Blank and non-numeric values are omitted. The form assembles text locally; it does not submit a generation or confirm that every option is supported by your selected model.
Dial in stylize and chaos one at a time
Start with stylize at 100 and chaos at 0 so you have a clear reference. Adjust stylize to explore how much of Midjourney's aesthetic you want applied. Adjust chaos when you want the four results to differ more from one another. Changing both together makes it harder to identify which setting caused the difference you like.
Use a seed to compare variations while keeping the subject, style and other settings fixed. Treat it as a comparison aid, not a substitute for recording the prompt. Save the exact output text alongside the result you prefer, then change one detail for the next attempt.
Frequently asked questions
How do I write a Midjourney prompt?
Put the subject first, followed by one style and concrete details about light, mood or composition. Add parameters after the text. This builder separates those decisions and formats the parameters for you.
What does stylize do in Midjourney?
Stylize controls how strongly Midjourney applies its own aesthetic. The --s parameter ranges from 0 to 1000, with a default of 100. Start at the default and change it while keeping the scene description steady.
What is the difference between chaos and weird?
Chaos controls how different the four results are from each other, with values from 0 to 100. Weird adds an unusual treatment, with values from 0 to 3000. Both default to 0, and the builder leaves those defaults out of the prompt.
How do I use raw mode in Midjourney?
Turn on Raw mode to add --raw after the text. Raw mode reduces automatic beautification for a more literal result. Keep the subject and style specific so you can judge the change.
Which Midjourney version should I select?
Leave Version blank to use your account default. Set it only when you want to reproduce an older look with a known model version. The builder formats the value you enter but does not check whether your account supports it.
Do I need the /imagine prefix?
Enable the prefix when preparing a prompt for Discord. The builder prepends /imagine prompt: to the finished text. Leave it off when you only need the scene description and parameters.
